What is The Urban Nature Network?

The Natural History Museum's Urban Nature Project aims to start a new urban nature movement across the UK. We're working to give people across the UK, no matter who they are or where they live, the motivation and tools to safeguard nature in towns and cities, so that people and planet can thrive.

The Urban Nature Network aims to do the following:

  • Connect a variety of people and organisations with each other to encourage joined-up working.
  • Encourage best practice in to biodiversity monitoring and community science by signposting resources and opportunities.
  • Share best practice case studies and knowledge, including examples of habitat management / creation techniques.
  • Host and promote networking and knowledge sharing events, both online and in person.
  • Act as a forum to ask for advice.

When you join the Network you will get access to all of our articles, resources, case studies and much more. New content is being added to the Network all the time, including by people like you!

Please note that this Network is manned from Monday - Friday in working hours. If you request to join outside these times there may be a short wait to be accepted.
